Halina Rubinsztein-Dunlop nominated to ARC College of Experts

Professor Halina Rubinsztein-Dunlop has been nominated to the ARC College of Experts (Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences panel) along with Professor Ole Warnaar from the School of Mathematics and Physics, the University of Queensland (SMP) (Engineering, Mathematics and Informatics panel).

Professor Halina Rubinsztein-Dunlop has long standing experience with lasers, linear and nonlinear high-resolution spectroscopy, laser micromanipulation, and atom cooling and trapping. She was one of the originators of the widely used laser enhanced ionisation spectroscopy technique and is well known for her recent work in laser micromanipulation. About the ARC College of Experts

To support the advancement of knowledge and contribute to national innovation, the ARC engages an ARC College of Experts to play a key role in identifying research excellence, moderating external assessments and recommending fundable proposals. It also assists the ARC in recruiting and assigning assessors and in implementing peer review reforms in established and emerging disciplines as well as interdisciplinary areas.

Its members are experts of international standing drawn from the Australian research community: from higher education, industry and public sector research organisations. ARC College of Experts nominations are approved by the ARC CEO for appointments of one to three years.
